Uk recovery propaganda

This topic has made me annoyed, a couple of days ago a government lackey is on saying that the country is starting to get back on it's feet, business is getting better and the outlook is good. If you live in the north east this is quite simply a lie, a big fat whopper of a lie.

The one significant piece of good news is that a hitachi factory is coming to the region, good news that has been on the cards since the previous regime was in place. The problem with this is the jobs created do not even cover the jobs that are to go in Middlesbrough council some 1500 it was announced yesterday, dark dark days ahead for the north east

Well at least the bankers got to keep all their money eh?......

North South divide in football

This rant comes on the day the English FA decide it is right to double the allocation for Polish fans at England's crucial World Cup qualifier they say to stop polish fans sitting in the home end, I would say to hide the poor attendance that the England team will have showing once again that the national stadium should have been built further north, manchester or higher and the game could have been sold out twice, the pity is that the distance makes it impractical for any northern fans to attend the game the fans once again being snubbed for profit.

The problem with buying online
Society today makes us feel that shopping online must be better this is why it is not

I buy something online and on the face of it, it looks cheaper, then the postage gets added, still a bit cheaper so it's still good. Then you have to wait for it to be delivered, for the few pound saved I could have gone and got it from a shop and have it now.

I know the next argument is that you don't have to travel as it gets delivered to the door, true for a paper back as it fits through the letter box not so good for a toaster as it will be delivered when I am at work, the good people at the post office will then leave you a note to pick it up from the depot which is further away from my house than the shop which then costs me more to get to.

So at the end of this, factoring in postage and the extra travel I have paid virtually the same for a product that I have not seen in real life, waited a week for and had to endure the disturbing realm that is the post Office Depot. The moral is unless you are saving a lot get off the sofa get out in the world and go and buy it.

Kids

A lot of you will agree with this but not many will admit it. This is about parents who just won't quit talking about there kids and their issues with them, this is particularly bad with people you work with, when you just can't get away and are inflicted with constant updates, feeling like you are brain spammed constantly. Even though there are terrifying wars in the world , a global economy hanging by a thread and stories of crime and corruption coming out daily all of these pale in to nothingness compared to a kid who I have never met's daily school issues. I don't want people not to talk about their family but keep it in moderation and sense when someone has lost interest and is just nodding to be polite.

FIFA corruption

Now my complaints are normally about day to day stuff but this one really got my goat. This is not even with the fact that that choosing to hold the World Cup in a country that is so insanely hot that they are worried about fans just sitting in it for an hour and a half, this just makes them dim witted it would be like holding the Winter Olympics in the artic and half the competitors going down with frost bite. What really gets me is the corruption the World Cup was given on the strict condition that it was a summer tournament, stories then emerged of bribes which fifa shrugged off, then suddenly they decide it is too hot well durr and let's all just move it the winter this is against everything the competition is about and against just general fair play and decent conduct. Any other organisation would be calling for a mass clear out and holding enquiries the boys club at FIFA are content to stuff their pockets and to hell with the fans who put the money in to the game.
The European leagues hold the power with the vast majority of the games income, I hope they come together and put the greedy tyrants that have a strangle hold on the game in their place.
